Panasonic notebooks/laptops in India are produced by Panasonic Corporation which is a Japan based Company. It has recently launched three rugged models named as Tough book W7, Tough book T7 and Tough book Y7 which are an addition to its seven series toughbook notebooks and all of them are spill proof, drop proof and shock proof.

All these three new toughbook models have magnesium alloy chassis, shock mounted hard drives and LCD widescreens which makes them more durable without raising their costs.

Panasonic has updated its three business rugged notebooks out of its eight series toughbook line which are T8, F8 and W8 which work on Gobi 3G mobile broadband from Qualcomm to provide high speed mobile internet services. These tough books are designed for industry leading portability, durability and wireless connectivity necessary for the professions of these days.

The F8, T8 and W8 models have magnesium cases and chassis, hybrid cooling system great power performance and TPM security chip, computerize theft protection agent in BIOS, cable lock slot, password protection and fingerprint scanner as security features.

Panasonic Corporation has also released two new semi rugged notebooks based on Intel’s centrino 2 processor and named as CF-52 and CF-74 which are part of toughbook series. It has brought Toughbook 52 in the market which is semi rugged and wireless ready. It is made of alloy and contains shock mounted screen, removable hard drive for data security on physical level.

Thus it is a cost effective, reliable and mobile computing device. They have been designed to be used in the defense departments to insurance companies due to its capability to run the most complex applications and all types of field works.

Panasonic Notebooks in India are now being known for the recalling of notebook batteries which is about 6000 in number due to their overheating when they are accidentally dropped or suffered a strong tiny metal spring in the battery pack to fall off.

But, these battery recalls affect only Japanese made notebooks manufactured between April to May of 2005 and besides these, there are no any complaints of notebooks catching fire.
